Follow the Road Home to Lost Canyon Ranch...

Purely Colorado - just what does that mean?

To some folks, Colorado means grand mountains, forests filled with wildflowers, great craggy rocks towering into a deep blue sky high over a cool mountain stream. Or trout leaping out of a rushing river, cold and icy blue from the snowmelt high in the Rockies. An adventure around every corner and over every hill.

Colorado also invokes visions of mountains of powdery snow just right for skiing. Visions of snow and cold might leave some shivering in their thoughts of living in Colorado. But Colorado is not all snow and ice in the winter time.

Western Teller County is drier and sunnier area than a lot of the Colorado mountains. The sun shines here an average of 300 days per year. Often residents on the west side of Pikes Peak sit high and dry, though somewhat cooler, while the surrounding lower elevations are clouded over with rain or snow. Our annual average precipitation is 19 inches of  precipitation make winter and summer seem like a breeze. Lost Canyon Roads are well maintained year-round and county and state paved roads lead you to all points beyond.Colorado outdoors at its best
